Mr Brown’s Maths group have been drawing carefully around their bodies to measure their ‘wingspan’ and heights. Michael Phelps has an unusually long wingspan, which people think helps make him swim faster!

Mr Brown’s maths group have been practising their measuring skills. We used the metre sticks to measure objects all around the school, we had to estimate first though!

How many MMs make one centimetre?
How many CMs make 1 metre?

Body Fact or Body Fiction?

On Monday 21st of May Base 3 did science to see if your foot was the same length as your forearm. Your foot was the same length as your fist. Your nose was the same length as your ear and your height was the same lengthas your wingspan. Mostly everyone found out it was fiction for all experiments.Unforntunately some groups didn’t finish.):
Still everyone had a fandabydosey afternoon.

Mr Brown’s Maths class were very busy this morning measuring jelly snakes.

We estimated, then measured Average Joe, Headless, Tail Free and Stretchy!

At the end we reunited all of the parts of the snakes in our stomachs!
