Egyptian cat

I made a Bastet cat on Saturday while I was waiting for the snow to come.

I made the body of card, shaped into tubes, and his head out of a ball of newspaper.

Then I covered it in newspaper and glue, then painted it when it was dry.

Niall’s bike

For Christmas I had a brand new mountain bike. In the holidays I went with my mum and dad and my brother Liam and dog called Tag to The Wrekin. There was a BMX track and I practiced my new skills on the hills. My dad and brother showed me how to ride down the hills and it was lots of fun. My mum made a picnic and it was yum. I want to go again now and get as good as my dad and my brother.

Mr Brown’s Mathletes!

These children worked on Mathletics at home and completed all of their assigned tasks and more (a lot more in some cases!) in order to get their certificates. Well done Brent, Billy, Niamh, Katie and Prian! The overall Mathlete of the Week was Niall with a whopping 3700 points!

Congratulations to the Year 3/4 football team, who played their first match last night. They played Shortwoods in Wellington and beat them by a single goal. Congratulations to Jack, who scored the goal, and all of the team who played together really well. Keep it up!

Thanks to Mr Shelley and all of those who came to watch and helped with transport.

Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Competition

Yesterday two teams of Year 3/4 children played in a Tag rugby competition at Telford Rugby club. One team played against Grange Park, St George’s and Dawley C of E. They lost 4 – 3 to Grange Park but won the other 2 games. The other team played against Coalbrookdale, John Randall and Short Wood. Although they lost their first game, they drew one and won the other! We had a great time and everybody worked really well together.

Thanks to all the parents who helped and supported! Also a huge thank you to Mrs Pilgrim and the PTA for our new rugby tops!
