The lighthouse By Megan

One cold, misty night an old, grumpy man was alone in a lighthouse. This lighthouse was on top of a steep, high, jagered cliff which was next to the sea. That night when the lighthouse light went past, party people were cheering, while they were cheering the old man was writing a letter.

The old man sat alone in the darkness,SUDDENLY there was a big bang. “BANG”The old man looked up and grabbed the lantern and rushed up the stairs to see what was wrong. He looked at a big light bulb and picked it up then he tripped over his tool box and fell over.He smashed the lightbulb.Terrified, scared, frightened he tripped and smashed the lift bulb.

He picked up the lanteren and ran down the stairs to the front door and opened it.While he was doing that he heard the sea crashing smashing against the sharp, jagered rocks. The miserable old man wasn’t grumpy or miserable he was smiling and very happy because all of the villages came up the lanterns.

So now all of the passengers and the staff and the boat drivers were saved.the old man saved the day for the boat people. The old man was so delighted and over joyed. He hoped a day like that would be done again.

He liked saving them people on the ship. The old man was glad the villages helped.Everyone had a smile on there face

The lighthouse!

Once upon a time there was a glowing town with a glowing lighthouse which spun on around the town. Every night there was a party and everyone cheered when it came past their house. It was a usual tradition for their town. The lighthouse lived on the edge of a pointy ,sharp cliff. Everyone thought this was a safe lighthouse and you can always count on it.

In this lighthouse lived a old man who was always grumpy. He sat in his chair and watched above the lighthouse. One day when the lighthouse came past a house they were cheering and the old man was trying to write a letter in peace. ” Gosh can’t you write a letter in peace” quoted the grumpy old man! he was angry with the villages! Then all of a sudden he heard a big BANG! ” What was that?” he spoke. The window crashed open and the candle blew out suddenly! the old man stood up i the pitch dark and the old man went to get his lantern. It was so dark he fell over his own feet! Shocked,Scared,Worried he raced away. He felt frightened like a little boy!

After, the old man got up, he picked up his lantern and raced up the stairs to the top room. Then in the top room was the stuff that made the light work in the lighthouse . So the old man checked there. The telescope was there so the old man peered though to see if any ships were coming or any stuff like that. ” NO” spoke the old man! A ship was heading this way. The old man tried to pick up the telescope and fell over the bag of tools! He BROKE THE BULB! He looked out the window to see what was going on ant the whole town was in the house. But then he raced down the stairs to the lighthouse door. He saw a shinning light going upwards. Amazed,Thrilled,Excited as the ship rowed past in glee. They all brought their lanterns to get a light flashing. The ship travelled past gracefully.

Once upon a time there lived an old man, a very lonely old man! One day he was sitting at his desk writing a letter to the boat sailors. The man lived in a light house and outside his window was a bright, golden light which was twinkling against the dull, misty sky like a light reflecting on a light shade! The man banged his window close because he was trying to concentrate and all the light came past there window. All of a sudden it started to get very dark and the mans candle flattered out. The man walked up the spiral, spinning stairs to see what had happened. The man was feeling very scared…

Shattered, upset, lonely the man was very cross.  The angry, sad man picked  up the dark, flattered light cupboard up, suddenly… The man as the heavy tripped over his rusty, dark tool box and then he accidentally dropped it and the light bulb and the man both fell on the floor and it smashed! The light was no longer a lovely bright shining light it was just a  dirty, smashed piece of work!! Looking through the telescope, he fumed about the broken bulb! Furiuos, unhappy, upset the man saw the boat coming and he got worried and worried and worried the man got very mad!

The man started to  lighten up a bit and also try to be  very brave and said” Im a good man and if there is EVER a problem which is in the light house then i can surely fix it! The man felt very guilty because he had a feeling that the boat will crash right into the light house he tried not to think that though! He was starting to get very shaky, the man left it and then he decided to open the door…. ” WOW, you didn’t have to do this” he shouted, it was the villagers they have got the man all a light bulb to spare for the light house.

Astonished, appreciated, happy the man felt very special! The man realised that they didn’t just do it for him they also made sure that there was light so that the boat won’t crash into the light house . The man said” Oh thank you, i really do appreciate your hard work what do you want me to do for you!” The man stood with all his super friends and they all stood with all there light bulbs for the man .The old man was glad that the villagers were thinking of him!

The lighthouse by William

One cold, wet night there was an old man,who lived in a light house. He lived on a slippy hill,on the edge of a wet cliff. There was a yellow, bright light that went round and round, with lots of dim, grey clouds.

The dark,grey sky moved slowly towards the lighthouse.Next to the tall,long lighthouse,there was a gloomy,spooky town,with crooked,murky roofs.

One day the old, grumpy man was writing a letter, when suddenly the light went out.The moody man got his toolkit and went up the dark spiral stairs.

When the lighthouse keeper got upstairs he looked inside the bulb, then he walked backwards and tripped over his toolbox, the light had broke. Then he saw a ship coming towards him.

The man quickly ran down the spiral stairs and opened the front door of the light house. All the people from town came up the hill carrying lantens in their hands.

Most of the people had seen the light go out,so they came up with lantens.Everybody held up their lantens so the ship could see where it was going. He felt amazed and very gratful.

Elliot`s Lighthouse story

There was once a grey, old lighthouse, which stood alone on a large, overhanging cliff. About quite a few metres away was a diminutive town, that was noisy but hushed at times.Meanwhile, the grumpy, old lighthouse keeper sat bathed in the flickering light of a waxy candle.

He was just finishing a letter, when he heard a loud banging noise. The keeper`s candle blew out, and his window flew open. Frightened, scared, petrified,he looked out of the window. But nothing was there.

The lighthouse keeper ran with a lamp up to the top of the stairs. He looked at the cogs, but they had stopped working completely! The keeper hurried to his toolbox, and picked it up.He ran to the bulb, and looked inside…

The keeper frantically looked around in the bulb. Then a blast sounded.A boat was getting near. He picked up the bulb, but tripped over his tools and smashed the bulb!

The keeper sat on the floor, thinking about telling the townspeople. He finally made his mind. He quickly ran down his spiral staircase ,and opened the door. There in front of him, were the townspeople! He then stood proudly with the townspeople, warning away the boat with all their lanterns.

Once upon a time lived a old man who owned a lighthouse. Standing above the village , the lighthouse shined it’s shimmering bright light. One gloomy afternoon he started to write a letter , he got annoyed with the villager’s , so slammed his window shut. Suddenly the light in the lighthouse went out and the window swung open it’s self , the candle went out by the wind. Worried , distressed , troubled , the old man hurried up the spiral stairs to see what happened. Running up the stairs , he investigated the room where the light to the lighthouse was. He paused for a moment , then took his tool box to try to fix it.

He looked inside , the light bulb was , so he took it out of the holder. Just then he tripped over his tool box and the light shattered into tiny pieces. A ship came in so did the waves crashing and bashing into the daggered rocks. The man started to worry more and more , he looked out at the village and knew what he needed to do. The old man raced down the stairs and opened the door. He saw the villagers as they stumbled up the cliff to see what they could do to help. They were also carrying lanterns. As the man was so suprised and shocked he nearly started to cry. All of the lanterns made a bright light that looked like the real light. The ship saw this big bright light and turned away quickly. They were so glad and happy. The End.

Georgina’s Lighthouse Story

One day there was a tall, stony lighthouse and behind it there was a little village with crooked, old houses in it. The lighthouse was on an enormous, lumpy cliff and in front of the lighthouse where some sharp, jaggered rocks with pointy ends. The gigantic, extensive sea crashed into the rocks.

In the village there where some people cheering when the light came round. The lighthouse keeper got so annoyed when he couldn’t think because he was writing a letter that he slammed the window shut. Suddenly he heared a big bang and the light went out and all the village people said “ARH!” loudly. Then the window flew open and the candle got blew out by the strong wind.

He ran up the spirally stairs puffing and huffing when he got half way he looked carefully at the machine to see what has happened to the light bulb. The lighthouse keeper ran up the ran up the rest of the stairs, when he got to the top he was very tired. The lighthouse keeper opened up the round, little door on the light bulb cover to see what happened. He heard a horn and looked out of the window and saw a huge ship coming his way, so he picked up the light bulb cover and walked backwards and tripped over his tool box that he left behind him and dropped it and in smashed all over the wooden floor.

He ran down the stairs and opened the door, he saw a huge light. It was all the people coming to help with oil lamps in their hands. He felt happy when all the people came to help. So they all climed up the creaky stairs and onto the balcony. Everyone held up their oil lamps and the boat went the right way.

Once  opoun a time here was a lighthouse keeper and the bright, yellow light sparkled in the the dark, gloomy sky.Underneght the lighthouse was blue, crashing waves and they where bashing against the sharp, jaggered rocks. The rocks where as sharp as spikes. There was a cliff and on top of the cliff was a lighthouse .Towering on top of the high cliff, the lighthouse  was positioned still. The lighthouse was a stone lighthouse. The light was as bright as the sun.The long, bright light shone over the small, light houses. The people in the houses where partying.Spinning around the town, the light shined brightly.

The man rushed up stairs. He was looking into the dark with a worried face. The man wore a dim, blue hat that was as dark as the sea and a marky brown jacket.Anxouis, concered, troubled the man hurried up the stairs. When the man got to the he saw there was know bulb he saw that there was no bulb so he lifted it up and tripped over his tool box and broke it!The man saw the ship was coming and ran down his spiral staircase. He opened the door and saw the whole town had brought lanterns to show the ship the way.The the man felt so glad. The end!

Once there was a lighthouse on top of a cliff.  The lighthouse was tall and grey it was a very murky place. The cliff was near a small village. The village had small  buildings. The small, boring village looked up at the tall, stoney lighthouse.

The villagers were all very very jolly ,but the light house keeper was not. the light house keeper was working on his desk and slammed his window shut. Suddenly the light went out , the window opened and the candle went out. The man was about to go up  when he tripped  over his chair.

The man was rushing up the stair cais  like a cheater. It only took a minute to go up  but it must have made his legs ache.He got to the top and was staring at the masive cogs  that turned the light. The old, grumpy man looked at the murky, aged light

The lighthouse keeper dropped the light after he tripped over his tool box . Suddenly the light house keper heard a boat ! The light house keeper was uneasy and started to run down the stairs .  He opened the door  and saw some villagers. The villagers went in the light house and made the boat  turn because of the lanterns.               THE END

The Lighthouse by Henry

In the days of old there was a tall, stone lighthouse. The freezing, icy sea was in a constant battle with the steep, precipitous cliff. There was an old lighthouse keeper who lived in the lighthouse. The bright, flourescent light shone through the dark, murky fog.

The lighthouse was located above some sharp, jagged rocks on a cliff. The towering lighthouse, was above a jolly-jam packed village. The people in the pub always cheered when the the light went past. The  lighthouse keeper was always worried  a ship would crash on the rocks. He was writing a letter, but he kept on getting put off by the villagers cheers.

Suddenly  there was a loud noise and the room was plunged into darkness. Then the window pane swung in and the candle went out.Worried, distressed,  concerned,  he swiftly ran up the spiral staircase to sort out the problem.Just when he was examining the damaged light he heard a honk in the distance.”Honk!Honk!”A ship was heading for the rocks. The lighthouse keeper picked up the light and started to move when he fell over his work box.The light shattered, sending fragments everywhere! The ship was edging closer and closer…

The lighthouse keeper got up and saw the mess.He turned around and ran back  down the  spiral staircase to the door.He yanked open the door and had a shock. All the villagers had came to help him.Coming back to himself, the startled lighthouse  keeper got his lantern  and took the villagers to the lighthouse’s floors.

The ship sailed on, but noticed the light from the villagers lanterns. The lighthouse keeper, who was standing with the villagers, was relieved since the ship hadn’t crashed. He let out a sigh of relief. The ship hand’t crashed.
